Curriculum

Our school provides an integrated scheme of education in accordance with the new education policy. Our curriculum adheres to the guidelines established by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, and is prescribed by CBSE.

Our teachers participate in training programs organised by CBSE and other relevant bodies to enhance their skills and keep up with periodic updates. This approach ensures that our students are equipped with upgraded knowledge and skills.

CBSE Edge

CBSE is a national and international educational board that is followed by over 25,000 schools not only in India but also in the Middle East, Far East, Europe, and the USA. The CBSE syllabus is highly student-oriented and helps the students prepare themselves for competitive all-India level examinations. At the national level, CBSE students have a huge advantage in competitive entrance examinations such as JEE, NEET, and many others. The CBSE curriculum is similar to the one followed by the boards conducting different admission tests, making it easier for students to prepare for these tests.

Home Support

JDS Public School team is committed to fostering healthy communication between parents and teachers for the benefit of the students. To ensure this, periodic Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) will be conducted where both parties can express their insights and understanding of the student's needs. We welcome parents' concerns and suggestions for both academic and non-academic development.

Parent Orientation and Workshops
Workshops will be organized for parents to help them play an active role in their child's development. They will be informed about the latest techniques to meet the evolving needs of parenting and learn how to effectively support their child through them.

Emotional Wellness
The school has a dedicated wellness department that consists of counsellors and special educators who are responsible for maintaining the emotional well-being of the students. If any student is identified as needing guidance, they will be referred to these experts for short-term or long-term support. Parents are also welcome to participate in this process as and when required.

Remedial Study Hours

A dedicated hour for remedial study will be included in the schedule. During this time, students will work on their self-study assignments with the constant guidance and assistance of faculty members. This program has various benefits:

  • Students will receive extra attention at school from in-house faculty who are familiar with the school's teaching methodologies.
  • This will minimise or eliminate the need for extra tuition outside school hours, leaving children more time for family and relaxation.
  • Students can seek valuable advice from teachers for projects, exam preparation, and study-related concerns.
It is expected that all students meet the three fundamental expectations: -
Respect people and property Students are to be respectful in attitude and manner to people and property
Attend school regularly Students are to attend all academic programmes, co-curricular activities, school functions and other school-related programmes.
Do and submit work Students are to work diligently not only on an assigned daily class work, homework, projects and others but also have regular self-revision in order to ensure quality work is produced.
